Hillsboro’s oldest citizen, Miles Cooper celebrated his 92nd birthday anniversary at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Clemmons here Thursday. It was also his 68th wedding anniversary. He married Lillie Nicholson Feb 11, 1875 and they had 11 children, 9 of whom are living. Mrs. Cooper died in 1924. Mr. Cooper is the father of Harry P. Cooper Indianapolis. Children present were: Harry, Henry and Shirley Cooper, Indianapolis; Sollie and Marion Hillsboro and one daughter, Mrs. Katie Stuart, Muncie. Note: He was born 11 Feb 1851 near Marion in Delaware County, Ohio and died on April Fool’s Day in 1947. - kbz
