"Chebanse Township."
In 1843, BF BRADY, and his two brothers, Joseph and William came from Attica, Indiana to settle in Sects 33 and 34 near the mouth of Langham Creek. Purchasing this land from the state, the Brady brothers built a log cabin on Sec 33 and, while living there, engaged in raising cattle and hogs which they drove to Chicago to be sold. BF Brady was one of the first justices of the peace in this part of the county, and was elected to the second board of supervisors.
