BOGGS, Labert William

Master LaBert Boggs of Veedersburg has been engaged by the Quoit-Alber Chautauqua Company to do platform work with them a year from this month.  The manager of the company heard the young lad, who is only 7 years old, give some readings at the Rockville Chautauqua last summer and this week, George Bicknell of Indianapolis, who is manager of the company,, signed a contract with Mr. Boogs (sic) for the ensuing year.
LaBert is one of the youngest members of a chautauqua company.  He will be accompanied by his mother, Mrs. W. I. (William Ira) Boggs.   - Note: she is Dorothy Campbell Boggs

(William) Labert born 6 April 1916 in Veedersburg and died at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana of hemorrhage and renal failure - 15 Sept 1982. Spouse: Lorama Wiese


Attached 1938 University of Illinois - he was involved in many activities at both Veedersburg HS and U Of I -- most including plays, band and choir.
