LeClair Descendents

LeCLAIR family - this family lived in Iroquois County, Illinois; Alberta, Canada; and Fountain County for about 20 years and then several moved on to California.
While working on the Fountain County "baby project" (which began with the WPA records and checking, adding, fixing ... instead of a snapped image photo of the birth records from our previous software, Jim is creating searchable tables of the names).  In fact checking these births,  I saw on Ancestry some wonderful pictures from Gayle Pearson of some of my babies BORN IN FOUNTAIN COUNTY - all grown up so I asked Gayle if she would mind if I used them for the GenWeb site -- so, here ya' go - pretty and handsome - children of Joseph Z and Marie (Gaudreau) LeClair.

Five children of  seven born in Fountain County have pictures here.
LeClaire, John born May 28, 1882 died in California 1953
LeClaire, Dora May born Aug 11, 1884 (died June 14, 1912)
LeClaire, Ralph Z. born April 17, 1889 died Feb 1961 Alberta, Canada
LeClaire, William "Reno" (my fav and the one that caught my eye so I wanted to ask) born Sept 15, 1890 died Aug 4, 1970 California.  He is sooooo cute !!
LeClaire, Vona born Sept 12, 1892 died Aug 28, 1980 Orange County, California

Benjamin (1896-1887)
Eva (born April 3, 1881)
were also born here but they did not live up through adulthood; thus, seven of their eleven children were born in our county

Thanks sooo very much for Gayle Pearson for her wonderful Ancestry site, and her generosity.  Oh, and if you're relation to this family she has mom and dad to this group as well as several other people included.  ~~ Karen
