Cloyd VanDuyn and Miss Blanche
Gillum were married Monday evening at 8:30 o’clock at the parsonage of the Main
street M. E. church, the Rev. James A. Sprague performing the ceremony. It was
the purpose of the young people to keep the marriage a secret for a time, but
the records at the court house revealed the truth. Mr. VanDuyn is a tinner for
the Gidley Hardware company and his bride is a stenographer at the Haynes Automobile
factory. —Kokomo Tribune. Miss Gillum and Mr. VanDuyn are Kingman people and
have well planned the surprise they wished to spring. Although the event was
anticipated by many it was not expected so soon. Nevertheless, we all join in
wishing the newlyweds a joyous wedded life. – jlr
