Miss Dorothy Ellen Romine and Wallace Channing Smith will be married at 4:30 o’clock this afternoon in Sweeney Chapel at Butler University. Dr. Jean S. Milner, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church will read the single ring service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JE Romine, Covington. Mr. Smith is the son of Mrs. Mary Graves, 6491 North Chester Avenue and Wallace R. Smith of Benton Harbor, Mich. Mrs. William F. Patterson, matron of honor for her sister will wear an Indies rose taffeta gown and shoulder cape. Her masque veil will match her gown and she will carry a colonial arrangement of orchid sweetpeas. Mrs. Edward Locklear and Mrs. Barbara Wells Bevis will be attired in hyacinth taffeta gowns and Miss Gretchen Graves and Miss Ann Bailey of Bedford will wear orchid owns. Best man will be Mr. Patterson. Ushers will include Knight Campbell, Thomas Osborne, William Robinson of Homer and Richard D. Muckley of Fort Wayne. The bride has chosen an ivory satin gown made with a romance neckline, shirred bodice and full skirt extending into a chapel train. Her tiered veil will be of silk illusion and she will carry white sweetpeas surrounding an orchid. Serving at the reception in the Kappa Kappa Gamma House will be Mr. Cleland G. Douglass and Misses Ellen Cox, Nancy Osborne, Paula Osborne, Susan Dunlap, Alice Jones, Joan O’Neill, Betty Fiddes and Patsy Parrish. The couple will reside in the Meadowbrook Apartments. The bride, a Kappa, was graduated from Jordan College of Music and Butler University. The bridegroom attended Indiana and was graduated from Butler. He is a member of Alpha Tau Omega. - kbz
