A very pretty wedding ceremony was performed in the parlors of Rev. B. F. Clifton, pastor of the local M. E. church, when he joined Miss Bertha Shoaf and Mr. Everett Ratcliff in the holy bonds of matrimony. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Shoaf and has been employed at the Kingman telephone exchange for the past five years. She is a young lady held in high esteem among her large circle of friends of both church and social affairs. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ratcliff, one of Mill Creek township’s most prosperous farmers. He is an excellent young man, quite worthy of the companionship of the one he has chosen as his life’s partner. The best wishes of The Star and their host of friends join in extending congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff are now enjoying a honeymoon trip in Indianapolis. They will reside with the groom’s parents for the time being. – jlr
