Miss Mary Alice Whitaker and Delbert Ratcliff were married
Saturday, May 24, 1941 at 2:30 p.m. The ceremony was performed at the home of
the bridegroom’s parents by the Rev. Bennett Fulp of Terre Haute. The
attendants were the bridegroom’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Cliston
Ratcliff. The bride was attired in a street length dress of dusty rose with
navy and white accessories, and wore a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Ratcliff wore
a dress of powder blue with black accessories. Mrs. Ratcliff is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ora Whitaker of Hillsboro and is graduate of the Hillsboro High
School. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ratcliff, Kingman, and
was graduated from Kingman High School. He is a member of the Sowers and
Ratcliff Machine Shop firm. Members of the immediate families and the
minister’s wife and daughters were present. After a short trip they will make
their home for the present with the bridegroom’s parents. – jlr
