The home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M.
Philpott, was the scene of a very pretty wedding Sunday, Sept. 19th, at 3
o’clock p. m. when their son, Omer, was united to Miss Annis Starns (sic), all of
Wallace. Only a few relatives and intimate friends were present at the ceremony
which was pronounced by the Rev. J. J. Patterson of Danville, Ill., who is now
Pastor of the Freedom Christian church. Miss Ruby Philpott rendered the wedding
march. The floral appointments were quite lovely. An informal reception was
held at the close of the ceremony and congratulations were offered. Among the
many handsome presents given the couple were a piano of the bride’s mother,
Mrs. Mary Starns, and a complete silver set by mother of the groom, Mrs. E. M.
Philpott. Mr. and Mrs. Philpott are as yet undecided as to their future
residence, but, it will probably be in Indianapolis. Their host of friends
joined in wishing them a joyous and happy future wherever they may decide to
