Cupid, that mysterious little fellow, who shoots his shafts of love in a strange and unaccountable manner brought two souls into romantic wedlock Wednesday. Miss Emily Johnke, the bride, arrived on the afternoon train and came direct from her home in Germany. She was met at the depot by her lover Mr. William Louber and together they repaired to Justice Stilwell where they were united in marriage. The courtship was begun 20 years ago when the two were mere children. 18 years ago the groom left his native heath to seek his fortune in the new world, leaving his betrothed, but with the understanding that she was to come as soon as he sent for her. Mr. Louber settled in the vicinity of Veedersburg and by frugality and hard labor managed to accumulate a farm of large dimensions. Two months ago he sent for his sweetheart of long ago. She
responded to his request and the hopes of their early days were realized. The happy couple left on the evening train for their future home near Veedersburg.
