Source: Iva Lewis Obituary Scrapbook
The marriage of Frank Jones and Miss Audrey McCord was consumated at high noon on Thanksgiving day the ceremony being performed by Rev. J. M. Tuggle at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mr. W. H. McCord in this city in only the presence of the bride and groom’s immediate families and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Steinbaugh. The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion and the ceremony was striking and impressive, immediately after its conclusion the party repaired to the dining room where a wedding dinner was served that was a feast royal and in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Jones went to Indianapolis and other points in the state to return here for Sunday and will be at home to their friends in Kingman after Monday. The groom had already prepared a cozy home into which he will take his life’s companion. The bride has spent a goodly part of her life in this city. She is an estimable young lady with many accomplishments. She is a pure noble girl and will make a wife that will add sunshine to the home. The groom is in the clothing business at Kingman with Mr. Steinbaugh. The writer has known him since he was a child and we know that a better young man never lived. He is honorable and energetic, the kind that makes a success in the world and that their journey through life will be a happy one is assured for both will do their part to make it so. – jlr
