At the pleasant country home of Elijah Myers and wife near Wallace occured the wedding of their granddaugter, Miss Mamie Myers to Mr. Byron Hesler, of Hillsboro, Wednesday evening, Nov. 29. At an early hour the invited guests began to arrive and by 7 o’clock the house was comfortably filled. Promptly at 7:30 the contracting parties, preceded by Rev. Isaah Whitman and closely followed by Charles Frazier and Ethel Glascock, descended the stairway and proceeded to the pastor and in the presence of the invited guests were pronounced man and wife. Immediately following the ceremony the bride and bridegroom proceeded to the dining room, followed by their friends, where an elegant course of refreshments were served. Many beautiful and costly presents were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Hesler. Those present were: Cbas. Frazier, Ethel Glascock, Isaah Whitman and wife, Thos. Booe, Myrtle Hesler, Elijah Myers and wife, James Booe and wife, Frank Frazier and wife, John Myers and wife, Walla Myers and wife, Alonzo Myers and wife, Chas. Myers and wife, Loranza Myers and wife, Freeman Frazier, Jennie Bever, Corra Frazier, Jessie Myers, Harvey Allen, Elijah Myers, Wm. Allen, Lee Philpott, Leroy Sanders, Stella Ammerman, Pearl Guy, Lesta Livengood, Tessa Roberts, Viola Glascock, John W. Shuler and wife, Geo. Deere and wife, Ambrose Banta and wife, N. S. Litsey and wife, Howard Smith and wife, Bloomer Myers and wife, Chas. Brown, Allie Wilson, Alpha Bever, Tina Myers, Chas. Canine, Ausie Frazier, Wesley Blacketer and wife, Lulu Myers, Pearl Myers, David W. Sanders, Lela Myers, Oma Myers. A reception was given at Mr. Geo. Hesler’s near Hillsboro on Thursday. Mr. Hesler and wife are two well known young people of South Fountain and start out in life with the best wishes of hundreds of friends. – jlr
