GROSS, Marilyn J. and Robert V. LEAS - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Leas are at home at 190 Pine Avenue, Carlsbad, Calif after their wedding in Veedersburg.  Miss Marilyn J. Gross and Robert V. Leas pledge their vows in a double-ring ceremony solemnized by Rev. Hubert Neth in the Methodist Church.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gross of Veedersburg and the bridegroom is a son of the late Forrest Leas of Veedersburg Rt 2 and Mrs. Jane Leas of Pompano, Fla.  Miss Wilda Bell presided at the organ and accompanied soloist, Charles Boggs II.  Miss Pat Hancock was maid of honor and Miss Peggy Leas sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid.  Rusty Krout of Veedersburg was best man and ushers were Bud Bever and Dick Gross, all of Veedersburg.  Stu Leas was flower boy and Kenny Lee Gross carried the rings.  A reception was held in the church dining room with Miss Penny Ann Pearson of Crawfordsville and Miss Reba Clift of Veedersburg serving.  Assisting with the reception were Mrs. Albert Glover of Covington and Mrs. Harold McElwee of Veedersburg.  Both the bride and bridegroom are 1959 graduates of Veedersburg HS. The bridegroom is in the US Marine Corps and is stationed at Camp Pendlet   --transcribed by kbz
