William TAYLOR - Etta HARVEY -- Marriage Source: Logansport Pharos-Tribune - 20 December 1900 pg 3 Mr. William L. Taylor of Attica and Miss Etta Harvey of Royal Center were married last evening at 7 o'clock in the office of Justice James Reid on Fourth street, that magistrate officiating, and immediately after the marriage ceremony the couple left on the 7:35 Wabash train for Attica. The marriage was done up as quickly as possible and not without cause. It is understood that Miss Harvey was engaged to marry a young man from Royal Center and after the engagement she fell in love with the handsome Attican. Secretly they made arrangements to wed and yesterday they both met in this city where they secured a license and had the ceremony performed in all haste. It appears that there was some fear that the jilted lover would put in his appearance at the last moment and create a scene, but in this the romantic expectations of the bride and groom were disappointed. It is not know what the Royal Center young man will say now. Thanks muches Ginny A.
