She was my great grandmother, married to Lemison Mates, their daugther Fannie was my paternal grandmother. My Whetsel, was Catherine Whetsel, born Feb. 22, 1797 in PA, believe she was the daughter of John Whetsel and Marcy/Mercy (maiden name unknown). I think her parents were also born in PA, but haven't found out what county yet. She was my ggggrandmother married to Layton Palmer. Their gggrandson, Issac was my paternal grandfather, married to Fannie Mates above. Will hold onto your info, if I find anything that might connect, I'll be sure to let you know! Thanks for checking!
