Hello everyone,
I am researching the Middleton and Downing families of Elkhart Co.  The first mention of a Downing in Elkhart Co. is in 1831 I
believe.  Specifically, I am descended from John Wesley Middleton and Elizabeth Downing; I am trying to research all lines of
these families.
Anyone suspect a connection?

Ferdinand Spahr, the brother of my great-grandfather, married Margaret
Middleton.  Margaret was the daughter of Jonathan Downing Middleton and
Margaretha Davis.  I have Ferdinand and Margaret's descendants and will be
happy to share any of the information.
