IN. They are living with their son Orin and daughter-in-law Harriet. Daniel is 67 and Mary Anne is is 55. Has anyone seen these names in a cemetery or cemetery book for that area? If I can find out when and where they died, perhaps I can find an obit for them. Thank you for your time. These indexes list the names of folks whose vital statistics appeared in newspapers in St. Joseph Co. They are arranged in alphabetical order, then each listing tells which paper the information was in, along with a date range when it appears in the newspaper. As an example, you could find something like this: Horein, Mrs. Amelia, d. 16 Jan 1953, ME 24 Feb. 1949-4 The last line indicating which newspaper ran the article and which edition. There are two separate indexes: Vital Statistics to St. Joseph Co, IN (1831-1912), and, The Mishawaka Enterprise: Vital Statistics Index, 1858-1981 This first, covers many of the different newspapers that were published in the area from 1831-1912. The Elkhart Public Library has both of these. The references have been helpful in locating information on some of the collateral lines in my family tree. ______________________________X-Message: #6 Date: Thu, 15 Apr 1999 21:32:43 -0100 From: "Bill Cribbs" To: INELKHAR-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <05c001be878f$e2374a60$457c8fd0@wwbbs.net> Subject: [INELKHAR-L] My surnames - The Obituary Links Page Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I research CRIBBS, KREBS, CREPS, KRIBBS.
