Its on Nappannee Street, between Franklin Street and Indiana Ave. They belonged to St Vincent De Paul Church, so I assume they have the records. Their address is: St. Vincent de Pauls 1108 S. Main Street Elkhart, IN 46514 Their phone number is: 219/293-8231. Good Luck! To my knowledge, it is correct that St. Vincent Cemetery is the only Catholic cemetery in Elkhart County. Several ancestors of mine, including my grandfather and ggrandfather, are buried there. However, it's not unusual to find those of the Catholic faith buried in other cemeteries in Elkhart County. >Also, how would I contact them to check to see if a person is buried >there? I've checked the book Cemeteries of Elkhart County, Indiana Volume III 1991, and there is no BRUGGE in the index listings. My Elkhart County lookups page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~inelkhar/elkhlup.htm has some volunteers that may be able to help. Also, here's a tip for those who have hit a brick wall looking for burials in Elkhart County. There are about 40k of burials at Rice Cemetery in the City of Elkhart, and that cemetery is not indexed by any available books. However, the cemetery office has a large card file and friendly people to help. Here is their contact info: Rice Cemetery 400 James Street Elkhart, IN 46516 (219) 293-2811 Good luck!
