His father was Charles Edward Hawks. I found a Charles Hawks in Cass Co, MI in 1910 census with wife Florence and daughter, Agnes. He is listed as 45 years old and born in MI so it doesn't quite add up. Have never been able to find marriage for Charles Albert that I could be sure was my Charles Albert Hawks. It's possible that your Hiram and my Eli were brothers? or cousins? Francisco Hilton was born Feb. 23, 1848 in Hancock Co, IL (Warsaw) and died May 30, 1892. His father was Eli Hilton, born July 29, 1812 in Maine (was in the Civil War) and died Sept. 27, 1862/3? - is buried in the Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN. - and - his mother was Mary Helen Kingrey, born Sept. 30, 1814 in WV, died Oct. 3, 1900 - buried in the Rice Cemetery also. Francisco married Elvira Smith, the daughter of Samuel C. Smith and Francis Fordham. Elvira and Francisco had 6? children: a girl that died young, Grace Viola - b. 7-12-1870, Charles, Frank, Florence, and _?_. Elvira and Florence died about the same time, sometime when Grace was a young girl. I just found some of my notes that I copied from my grandmother. Here's a list of the Hilton children of Eli and Mary: Orlando - b. 5-25-1838, Rinaldo - b. 10-29-1839, Alonzo - b. 10-27-1841, Philemon - b. 10-10-1843, Malisa - b. 2-23-1846, Francisco - b. 2-23-1848, Adeline - b. 2-8-1850, Mary Ellen - b. 5-4-1852, Emma - b. 6-7-1854, and Alice - b. 9-26-1858. Francisco married Elvira Smith, Mary married Alfred J. Signor, Malisa married a Mr. Cole, Adeline married Coleman Seaman, Emma married Joseph Robb, and Alice married Gus Hughes. My Eli Hilton and his wife Mary were the ones that started the Hilton House in Elkhart, IN, later called the Railroad House. I hope I helped you in some way. I definitely don't know all of the people in the picture, but my mother was only 6 at the time. I also have pictures of: Benjamin Wade, Ben and his wife Grace Hilton Wade taken in 1932, Benjamin's parents: David Wade, and Elizabeth Oakes Wade, and a family picture of Benjamin, Grace, and their children.
