I'm very interested in the Kreider family line which I believe settled in the Elkhart County area around 1858. I have been told by recently discovered descendants that there are a lot of Kreiders buried in the Prairie Street Cemetery located On Hiverly Street in Elkhart. I have not found an index to that yet. Through recent help from volunteer look ups and found descendants I know that the correct line is: ....1 John Kreider b. abt 1826 in OH .....+ Eliza Seidner b. abt 1832 in PA ..........2 Annetta Kreider b. abt 1854 in OH ..........2 Urias Kreider b. abt 1856 in OH ..........2 Josiah Kreider b. abt 1858 in IN ..........2 Isaiah Kreider b. 1860 in IN ..........2 Frank Kreider b. June 9, 1862 in IN, d. May 1950 ..........2 Susanna Kreider b. in IN ..........2 Jeremiah Kreider b. October 6. 1866 in Elkhart Co., IN, d. November 20, 1960 in Lusby, MD. I have just about developed the line on Jeremiah Kreider my grandfather. I have been trying to develop the line on the rest of the Kreiders and will try to see if there is a connection between John Kreider and other Kreiders in the area and where these people originated past Ohio (Pennsylvania?? or immigration??). I'm willing to share what I have with other Kreider researchers. Regards, Milt Burford
