Mrs. Doris Cora Walsh, 55, 210 East Lincoln Avenue, died at 5:20 a.m. today at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had also been confined to South Bend Memorial Hospital for three weeks and had been ill about a year.
Born April 4, l9l7, in Millersburg, a daughter of William and Mae Burk, she married Floyd E. Walsh, Oct. l 6 , l 948. Mrs. Walsh was last employed at Barler Metal retiring in Oct. due to ill health.
Surviving are Mr. Walsh; two daughters, Mrs. Adrienne Conatser and Mrs. Maynard (Gilberta) Hartsough, both of Goshen; one step-daughter, Mrs. John (Patty) Barker, Louisville , Ky.; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Burk, Edwardsburg, Mich., and Victor Burk, Elkhart; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Chokey and Mrs. Samuel Eldridge, both of Goshen.
Friends will be received at the Walsh home afternoon on Sunday. Public graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the West Goshen cemetery with Dr. Andrew Hardie officiating. Mrs. Walsh was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society.

Warsaw--Mary N. Warner, 53, Warsaw Rt. 7, formerly of Elkhart, died at 1:48 p.m. Monday in an automobile-truck accident in Cambridge, Ohio.
She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Elkhart, and married Chester Warner, Jr. on Dec. 23, 1950. He survives with three daughters, Mrs. Mike (Deborah) Horn of Elkhart, Mrs. Eric (Robin) Wetzel of Bristol, and Mrs. Dave (Terry) Lackey of Warsaw; a son, Steven of Warsaw; a sister, Mrs. Van (Nancy) Vandusen; and a brother, Daniel Roth, both of Elkhart, her mother, Cliffie Roth of Elkhart, and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg.

Aged New Paris Minister Died of Heart Trouble (Jan 1922)
Rev. Henry Warstler, 81, died at his home in New Paris at 3:00 yesterday afternoon of organic heart trouble. He had been in ill health for some time. Surviving Rev. Warstler are his second wife, 3 sons, Charles E of West Goshen, Rev. O.H. Warstler of Fostoria, Ohio; and Albert Warstler of south of New Paris; 3 daughters, Mrs. Thomas Cripe of West Goshen, Mrs. U.S. Hoover of West Goshen, and Mrs. Jacob Keifer, of near New Paris; 33 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Rev. Warstler had been a resident of New Paris for nearly fifteen years and was a retired minister of the Church of the Brethren. He was widely known.

Bro. John Henry Warstler was born in Frederick County, Md. Near Hagerstown June 24, 1840, and died at his home in New Paris, Ind. Jan. 24 ,1922 of organic heart trouble.
Nov. 1, 1860, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Harshman, of Frederick County, Md. To this union were born 10 children, 3 of whom died in infancy. Four sons and three daughters grew to maturity. The oldest of this number died at the age of 21 years.
In February, 1865, just preceding the close of the Civil War, they moved to Elkhart County, Ind. locating near New Paris, where he has resided since. In January, 1874, he was elected to the ministry and some years later he was ordained to the eldership. In his early ministry he served the church most faithfully, sacrificing much, so that there would be no disappointed congregation. He would walk miles through cold and heat, snow and rain to fill an appointment.
He was what is termed a self-educated man, having acquired his knowledge largely through self-exertion and the devotion of his few leisure hours to study and investigation. Thus he gained for himself a very good education. He taught school for several terms in his early life.

Josiah Warstler, 82, died at the home of his son, John C. Warstler at Mexico, Indiana this morning of infirmities of old age. The deceased has been a farmer in New Paris and Goshen all his life except for the past six years when he resided with his son in Mexico. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Joe Swihart of Chief, Michigan, and Mrs. John Mathens of Mexico, Ind. and 2 sons, IN Warstler of this city and C. Warstler of Huntington, Ind. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, New Paris. Interment will be made at the Baintertown cemetery. (1926)

EMANUEL WEIDNER
Emanuel Weidner died at his residence in Miamisburg, on the 16th inst, after a very brief illness, aged 61 years, 2 mos. And 8 days.
Mr. Weidner was born in Berks Co, Pa. January 8, 1825, where he lived until his removal to Ohio with his parents, to the vicinity of Miamisburg, where he resided until his death. He was respected by his friends and neighbors as an honest and upright citizen. He was a member of the Reformed church for many years, being baptized in his infancy by Rev. Hendel, and confirmed in his young manhood by Rev. Geo. Long, June 20, 1851.
He was married to Miss Susan Rocksfield, with whom he had nine children, 4 of whom preceded him to the eternal world. He was a member of Marion Lodge, IOOF which attended his funeral in a body.

Amzey D. Weaver, 74, of 327 W. Wolf Ave. died this morning at the Americana Nursing Hone where he had been a patient the past three weeks.
He was a lifelong resident of Elkhart, born Feb. 26, 1897, in Harrison Twp. and married to Bessie Grosh June 29, 1919, in Elkhart.
He was an employee of the Hossick Bakery, working there for 25 years, and for the past 17 years, was an employee of the Elkhart school system.
He was a member of the Prairie Street Mennonite Church.
Surviving with his wife are five sons; James O., Howard M., Harold L. and /Donald R. all of Elkhart; and Richard A. of Pueblo, CO. 14 grandchildren; five brothers, Harvey, Evanston, Ill. Samuel, Shipshewana, Harry, Elkhart, Walter, Michawaka, and Max, Kirkwood, MO. One sister, Mrs. Mabel Brown, Elkhart.

IDA ETHEL WEAVER
Ida Ethel Weaver, 98 Versailles, died Saturday afternoon, July 8, 1995 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles. She was born Jan. 21,1897 in Goshen, the daughter of Oliver and Emma Garber Grosh. On Aug. 10, 1921, she married J. Protus Brubaker who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1978. On Sept. 15, 1984, she married Levi A. Weaver, who died on Feb. 8, 1989.
Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker and a member of the Cornerstone Church near Versailles. She is survived by one stepson Allen Weaver, Kansas City, Kansas, one stepdaughter, Edith McCroskie, Seattle, WA; one grandaughter, Jean Antes, Avondale, two greatgrandchildren; 26 stepgrandchildren, and 33 step greatgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, David E. Brubaker; one stepdaughter, Mary Bentch, and five brothers and sisters. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 11 at the Cornerstone Church near Versailles, with Joe Diener and Rick Martin officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Goshen-Arthur W. Weldy,74,9f 509 Cross, died Sunday at General Hospital where he was admitted April 13.
He was born in Wakarusa June 26, 1896, and lived most of his life in the Goshen-Wakarusa area. He was married March 14, 1917,to Martha Holdeman in Wakarusa. He was a retired farmer.
The wife survives along with three daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Lois) Marks, and Mrs. Chester (Vivian) Schrock of Goshen and Mrs.George (Verna) Cross of Middlebury Rt.1; two sons, Mearl Weldy of Elkhart and Max of Goshen; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon J. of Wakarusa; Myron D. of South Bend, and Dwight E. of Goshen; and a sister, Mrs. Lee (Bertha) Harter Perry of Wakarusa.
Friends will be recieved after 7 p.m. today at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, services will be at 2 p.m.Wednesday at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church, where the body will lie in state from noon Wednesday. The Rev.John Steiner and the Rev. Harold Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Mr. Weldy was a member of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church.

Ruth D. Wenger, 85, 1300 Greencroft Dr., Goshen, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in Greencroft Nursing Center where she was admitted Dec. 8, 1989. She was born Dec. 19, 1906 in Sellersville, PA and was married April 19,1937 to Bishop John Christian Wenger. Mrs. Wenger was a homemaker, a graduate of Grand View Hospital School of Nursing, Sellersville, and was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church.
Surviving is her husband; two daughters, Mrs. J. Denny (Mary Lois) Weaver, Bluffton, OH; and Elizabeth Ann Wenger, Goshen; two sons, Daniel, Berne, and John, Detroit Michigan.: 11 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; sister Esther Detweiler, Landsdale, PA, and a brother, Paul Detweiler, Telford, PA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Dr. J. Warren Detweiler.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Reith/Roher-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. A prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in North Goshen Mennonite Church. The Rev. James Detweiler pastor of Pleasant View Mennonite Church, the Rev. Mrs. W. H. Weybright dies near Milford, Indiana
Funeral held today at Bethany Church, was longtime resident. Susanah Geyer Weybright, born May 16, 1854, in Elkhart County, daughter of John and Catherine Geyer, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Stout, near Milford, Tuesday, August 4, 1936.
Funeral services were held at Bethany Church, near here at 2 pm today. Rev. Frank Kreider of Goshen officiated.
Mrs. Weybright was the wife of William H. Weybright, who survives together with 4 children: Mrs. John Stout, near Milford, Mrs. Urbanus Huber, near Wakarusa, J. Orba Weybright and Charles Weybright near Syracuse.
She was 1 of 12 children, but only 1 brother, John A. Geyer, survives.
Mr. and Mrs. Weybright celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a short time ago. She was a native of Union twp. and had resided in this section practically all her lifetime.

Death of Life-long resident of vicinity came suddenly at home of his daughter, Mrs. Stout.
William H. Weybright, aged 85 yrs., who with his wife is spending the winter at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Stout, near New Salem, suffered a stroke, Tuesday morning (Feb. 1, 1934), and was unconscious for several hours. He died at noon.
Mrs. Weybright had been sick in bed for the past 2 weeks.
Mr. Weybright was the son of John and Johanna Weybright and was born on the old Weybright farm, north of the Bethany Church, Dec. 26, 148. He had been a member of the Brethren Church since a child, and was a charter member of the Bethany Church.
He had lived in the vicinity of this church all of his life.
He was married to Susana Geyer, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, last June.
Mr. Weybright is survived by his widow, 4 children, Mrs. John Stout, of New Salem, Charles and Orba Weybright of Syracuse, Mrs. Urbanas Huber of Wakarusa, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Wesley of New Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock, Friday afternoon, at the home of Mrs. Stout, and 2 o'clock in the Bethany Church, with Rev. Frank Krider officiating. Burial will be in the Baintertown Cemetery.

On the 17th of July, 1896 in Harrison Twp., Elkhart Co., Ind., of the
infirmities of old age, Sarah Whisler Culp, widow of the late John Culp,
aged 78 years, 1 month and 15 days. She was married to John Culp May 2,
1837, and lived in widowhood 28 years. She left 9 children to follow
her to her last resting place. She was born in Bucks Co., Pa., in 1818
and was a sister to Bish. Jacob Whisler, who died some years ago. She
was buried on the 21st at Yellow Creek, where a large concourse of
people had gathered to manifest their esteem for the aged sister.
Services were conducted by J.F. Funk, from Mark 13:35.

Mrs. Cora A. Wilfret, 76 , 605 Mercer Ave. , died at 7 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Max Kline, l8729 U.S. 20, Bristol, where she had been staying for two days. She had been in Goshen General Hospital for three weeks and ailing for l 7 years.
She was born in Payne, Ohio, Jan. l 6 , 1902, and was married twice. She was first married to Dewey Horn, who died in June 1946. She married George F. Wilfret on July l 6, l 964, He died May l 4, l 974.
Surviving are two sons, Burdett Horn, Bristol, and Theldon C. Horn, York Beach, Maine; three daughters, Mrs. Kline; Mrs. Stanley (Phyllis) Hoover, Wakarusa, and Mrs. Gerry (Gloria) Pawling, Elkhart; two sisters, Mrs. Leota Smead and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Mock, both of Elkhart; 2 l grandchildren and l 7 great-grandchildren. Another son died about four years ago and another daughter died in infancy.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where arrangements are pending.

George (Frank) Wilfret, 74 , 605 Mercer Avenue, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Goshen General Hospital, where he was admitted Monday morning after suffering an apparent stroke.
Born Jan. 24, 1900 , in Springfield, Missouri, a son of George and Cordelia Wilfret. Mr. Wilfret worked as a patternman at Wheelabrator Corp., South Bend. He retired in 1968. On July l 4, l 955, he married Cora Horn.
Surviving are Mrs. Wilfret; three step-sons, Burdette Horn, Bristol, Dean Horn ,York Beach, Maine, and Theldon Horn, Jacksonville , N.C.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Max (Betty) Kline, Bristol, Mrs. Stanley (Phyllis) Hoover, Wakarusa, and Mrs. Gerald (Gloria ) Paulding, Elkhart; 2l step-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Horace and Tom Wilfret, both of Goshen; a sister, Mrs. Ray Nichols, Goshen; and a step-sister, Mrs. Henry Kerr, Michigan. A son Richard Wilfret is deceased.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Thursday and on Friday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at l30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial following in the Oak Ridge cemetery. The Rev. Noble Bowman, pastor of the Little Pine Church of the Brethren, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Smith, Wayne Holdread, Glen Martin, Clarence and James Nettrouer and Robert Nettrouer Sr.

Harriet A., daughter of Martin H. and Elizabeth Finney Hissong, was born in New Paris, Indiana, November 13, 1848, died March 3, 1928, in her home in Plymouth, Indiana, aged 79 years, 3 months and 18 days.
She was united in marriage to John. J. Windbigler January 7, 1869, and to this union were born five children, four daughters and one son: Inez and Estella at home, A. E. Windbigler of South Bend, Mrs. Robert F. Cunningham of this city [Plymouth], Mrs. Ray L. Whaley of Elkhart, Indiana.
Her husband preceded her in death January 29, 1922.
She is survived by the five children, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; also, one sister, Mrs. Mary Warren, Elkhart, Indiana, and one half-sister, Mrs. Alice Wolgamotte of Van Nuys, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. John Ashton, friends and neighbors fifty-six years, were with her and her husband also when they left us.
Funeral services were held in the home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 and interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
