Deborah Cheryl Denton, 65, of Jasper, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born at Huntingburg, Indiana on April 21, 1949 to Charles Burk and Wilma Freyberger-Burk- Neukam. Deborah was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1967. She retired from K-Mart where she had worked for 37 years. She is a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper, the Christian Women’s Club and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Huntingburg, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, Charles Denton; daughter, Kristina Denton of Indianapolis; sons, Jeff Harlow and wife Blair, of Jasper, Scott Harlow and wife Laura, of San Antonio, Tex., and Craig Rupprecht and wife Holly, of Clarksville; mother, Wilma Neukam of Jasper; brothers, Chuck Burk and wife Linda, and Duane Neukam, both ofJasper; seven grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her father Charles Burk and step-father, Willis Neukam. Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial to follow at a later date. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center or to a favorite charity. |
