Gilbert W. Angerer, age 91 of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 6:07 a.m. Tuesday (November 29, 2011) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born at Dubois, Indiana on August 21, 1920 to Fred and Elsie (Baer) Angerer. He had two marriages; 1st marriage to Jeanette Zehr who passed away on October 14, 1991. 2nd marriage to Hilda Mae Leistner Vogel, June 23, 1992. Gilbert was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from the Indiana State Highway Department where he had worked for over ten years. He also was a farmer in Harbison Township. He is a member of St. John Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads – V.F.W. Post # 673. Surviving: Wife, Hilda Mae Angerer He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister who died infancy. Funeral services for Gilbert Angerer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (December 2, 2011) in St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Poston will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct military grave side rites. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday (December 1, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
