Cleda S. Jackle, age 97 of Jasper died at 12:03 p.m. Saturday (March 5, 2011) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born February 17, 1914 at Boone Township, Indiana to Robert and Mamie (Frank) Mehne. She married Ceril D. Jackle on November 30, 1933. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2001. Cleda was a homemaker and member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville and The WELCA of Christ Lutheran Church. She was in the first confirmation Class at Christ Lutheran Church. Charter member of the Goodwill Home Economics Club . She was a long time Sunday School Teacher and enjoyed quilting, cooking and playing Cards. Funeral services for Cleda Jackle will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (March 9, 2011) in Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Portersville Cemetery in Portersville, Indiana. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer and Rev. Catherine Burnette will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (March 8, 2011) at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and 1 hour before service at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran church Endowment Fund are to a favorite charity.
