He was born at Evansville, Indiana on August 22, 1959 to Elmer and Margaret (Brown) Bettag. He married Karen Keller on September 3, 1994 in Haysville, Indiana. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Crailsheim, Germany Mark was a dump truck driver for Triple K. Trucking Company also for Paul Cooper and Robert Schaeffer Trucking Company. He enjoyed fishing, Trapping, Deer Hunting, also Sprint Car Racing and NFL Football. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Surviving,

Funeral services for Mark Bettag will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (December 20, 2014), at Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the Portersville Cemetery. The Rev. Adam Ruschau will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper conduct military grave side rites. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, (December 19, 2014), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military grave rites Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
