Mrs. Katie Sue Nicholson of 1157 East Mallory died at 12:40 yesterday afternoon after a long illness. She was 72. Born in Jackson, Tenn., Mrs. Nicholson had lived in Memphis 56 years. She was the widow of Prather A. Nicholson, who before his death in 1918 owned a meat shop at Cooper and Carr. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of First Methodist Church. She leaves a son, Paul A. Nicholson of 602 Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Grice of the East Mallory address, Mrs. Dorothy Dodson of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Katie Robinson of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Lilla Fonte and Mrs. Annie Brumley, both of Jackson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
