Mrs. Emma Jane Groves
Mrs. Emma Jane Groves, 77, died Sunday morning in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stephen Genda, 3403 Scatterfield Rd, following a prolonged illness.
The body was taken to the Albright Funeral Home, where friends are being received.
Services will be held at the funeral home today at 2 pm, by Dr. W. H. Bransford, pastor of the First Methodist Church.
Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
She was the widow of Walter Groves, who died in 1950. Born near Shoals, Mrs. Groves came to this community at an early age and spent most of her life here. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving besides the daughter at whose home she died, are four grandchildren, Mrs. Joseph Jones, Winchester, Mrs. Elbert Nunley, Mrs. Jack Bevars, and Ronald Genda, all of Anderson, and three great grandchildren.
