| Mrs.Wilhoit, mother of Jacob Wilhoit died on Sunday last aged 84 years. She was a remarkable woman for her age, up to within a few days of her death. With her husband she moved to this county from Kentucky when the white settlers were first beginning to open up a few small farms, and with him endured all the toils and privations of pioneer life. She raised a family of children and was on a visit to a son in Pike County when she was called from earth to brighter scenes. For 50 years she had been a consistent member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and died happy in full faith of eternal glory. She was buried at Shiloh graveyard. |
