The Saturday's Daily She charges that the defendants, Joseph N. Workman, Alpheus D. Toon, Sherman McPherson and Bernard Seal unlawfully and wrongfully gave to her husband intoxicating liquors, as the result of which the said James A. Devine became intoxicated, unconscious, and uncontrollable. That while in said condition he fell fifteen feet from the second story of a restaurant onto a concrete pavement, sustaining injuries that caused his death. Tuesday's Daily The suit of Mary E. Devine against Joseph N. Workman of Loogootee, was started in the circuit court this afternoon. There is a brilliant array of legal talent employed on both sides and the case is expected to be interesting. Mary E. Devine is the widow of James A. Devine, formerly of Loogootee, who fell out of a second story window in the Martin county town while intoxicated and suffered injuries from which he later died.
