Dexter R. Royer

Dexter Raymond Royer, 21, Dubois, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

He was born at Jasper June 15, 1990, to Butch and Heather (Cave) Royer.

Surviving are his parents, Butch and Heather Royer, Dubois; three brothers, Josh Royer of Indianapolis, David Royer, Louisville, and Austin Royer, Dubois; and his grandparents, Donald Royer of French Lick, Joyce Underwood, Huntingburg, and Kenneth and Auretta Cave, Dubois.

Mr. Royer was employed in the logging industry. He graduated in 2009 from Northeast Dubois High School, where he was on the basketball team and helped the Jeeps win the 2009 sectional championship. He also attended and played basketball at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick. Dr. Greg Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
