Luella Camp, who is a teacher in the schools at Angola, has begun suit in the circuit court here, through her attorneys, Powers & Yeagley, of Angola, for a divorce from her husband, Frank M. Camp, an employee of the Lake Shore Railroad company at Waterloo. She also asks alimony in the sum of $1,000.
In the complaint it is alleged that the parties were married on September 26, 1905, and that immediately thereafter they went to the home of the defendant’s mother to live. The complaint says that the actions of the mother were such that she could not reside there. Then complainant took apartments of her own elsewhere, but except to occasionally visit her, the defendant remained at the home of his mother.
She says that he became so that he did not provide for her wants and was cruel and neglectful, so much so that she was compelled to resume her former occupation of a teacher, and she took a position as such in the schools at Angola.
The divorce case of Luella Camp vs. Frank M. Camp of Waterloo was set for trial Friday, and witnesses were summoned into court for that day. The plaintiff’s attorney and the defendant’s attorneys, with the principals in the case, had a long consultation and finally agreed on a settlement of their differences, and Judge Bratton granted the decree and $200 alimony was given the plaintiff by agreement the terms of which were that $100 is to be paid within ten days and $10 per month on the 15th of each month until the balance is paid, in addition to the court costs.
