Ernest Eberhart Rites Yesterday


Were Held at Emanuel Lutheran Church By Rev. Pettit; His Death Is Caused by Fall at His Home Funeral rites for Ernest Eberhart, 70, a former resident of Lawrenceburg, who died Thursday morning at the General Hospital, Cincinnati, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, the pastor, Rev.John A. Pettit officiating. The body was brought directly to the church yesterday from Jacocks Funeral Home. The burial was in Greendale Cemetery.

Mr. Eberhart resided at 2227 Symmes street, Cincinnati. His death was due to injuries received in a fall down the stone steps at his home on Friday last. A brain concussion resulted from the fall. He is survived by his widow (nee Anna Schneider) and two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Schlichter, Cincinnati and Mrs. Edna Dickman, Ft. Thomas, Ky., and three grandchildren.

His parents were Henry and Katherine Eberhart and he was the sixth son of a family of ten children, eight sons and two daughters, all having passed away save three: Charles Eberhart, assistant postmaster, and William Eberhart and Miss Elizabeth Eberhart, all of Lawrenceburg, with other kindred.

Mr. Eberhart had been in the employ of the Cincinnati street car company for 26 years, having been retired about three years ago when he met with an accident. He had been a member of the Lutheran church for a number of years. Many friends mourn his demise.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Anna Eberhart


Who Died In Cincinnati Tuesday, Held Yesterday Afternoon at Emanuel Church; Burial at Greendale Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Eberhart, Cincinnati, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Emanuel Lutheran Church in charge of the pastor, Rev. John A. Petitt. Burial was in Greendale cemetery.

Mrs. Eberhart passed away at the Bethesda hospital, Cincinnati, Tuesday morning, October 28th, at 5:25 o'clock. She had been in failing health for years, but her last illness was of short duration.

She was the daughter of Frederick and Catherine Miller Schneider and was born in Lawrenceburg Sept. 13th, 1856. She was the eldest and the last of a family of five children.

Mrs. Eberhart was held in high esteem not only by her many relatives, but by a large circle of friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a faithful and life-long member of the Emanuel Church and the Ladies Aid Society.

On Sept. 13, 1881, she was united in marriage with Ernest Eberhart and to this union were born six children. One son, Edwin, three daughters, Cecelia, Maude and Mrs. Nettie Schraer have preceded their mother to the world beyond.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Schliechter of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Edna Dickman of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; three grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces. Her husband, two sisters, Nettie and Louisa Schneider, and two brothers, John and William Schneider are deceased.
