A Beautiful Life Comes to a Close
In The Passing of Mrs. Martha Ellinghausen Leffler, a Life-Long Resident of Dearborn County
Martha Ellinghausen Leffler was born in Dearborn County October 31, 1862. She was the youngest daughter of Henry and Sophia Schover Ellinghausen. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in t. John's Lutheran church April 9, 1876, of which church she has since been a member.
October 31, 1883, she was united in marriage with August Leffler. Ten children were born to this union, two sons having preceded her to the great beyond.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Edward, who resides at home, Elmer, of near Manchester; six daughters, Mrs. Earl Hanson of Lawrenceburg, Mrs. Sherman Martin of Moores Hill, Mrs. Ivan Bennett at home, Mrs. Ernest McClanahan of near Wright's Corner, Mrs. John Mason of Kyle, Mrs. George Rosenbaum, of neat Aurora; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Henry Ellinghausen of Kyle; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Johnston of near Aurora, and other relatives and friends.
After two weeks of intense suffering she passed away September 8, 1932, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 7 days. She bore her suffering with Christian patience and fortitude.
A kind and devoted mother has been called from our midst. Mrs. August Leffler was especially devoted to her family and home.
Faithful and unselfish she has served her day and generation and if one is permitted to judge, has gone to that reward promised to those who are "Faithful Unto Death."
She is not dead; oh, no,not dead, but sleeping;
The weary frame now rests beyond all weeping;
The spirit, like a prisoned bird set free,
On joyful wing, mounts up, exultingly.
Her early life was beautiful and rare;
But she has gained the life eternal where
At his dear feet her troubles all laid down,
She has exchanged her armor for a crown.

Tulsa Lawyer's Rites Pending
Arrangements for Edwin A. Ellinghausen, 78, of 1909 S. Xanthus Ave., an attorney who died at his home Wednesday, are pending with Stanley's Funeral Service.
Ellinghausen, a Tulsan 20 years, specialized in civil law. His offices were in the Capital Building.
He was a native of Indiana and was a graduate of the University of Indiana law school. He began practice in 1908 at Hugo and practiced in Sapulpa 25 years before coming to Tulsa.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Ellinghausen, Oklahoma City, and Edwin A. Ellinghausen Jr., New Orleans; a daughter, Mrs. George Ruppert, Los Angeles; a brother, William A. Ellinghausen, 1512 S. Denver Ave.; a sister and six grandchildren.

Wilhelmina (Mina) Eberhart of Burroughs Dr., Dayton, died suddenly Wednesday, Spet. 7, 1983. Mrs. Eberhart was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, where she had taught in area schools after attending Indiana University.
A 62 year member of First Lutheran Church, since 1921, where she had been active in many organizations and involved in the original development of Bethany Lutheran Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D., in 1963, and is survived by 2 daughters, Jean (Becher) Overholser of Naples, Fla. and Anne Wilson of Green Valley, Ariz.; sons-in-law Jean Overholser and Gene Wilson; 6 granddaughters, Gloria LeVay of Garland, Texas, Diane Becher of Sarasota, Fla., Linda Becher, Dayton, Barbara Wilson, Wisconsin Rapids, Wi., Martha Wilson, Port Neches, Texas, and Linda Wilson, Ft. Collins, Colorado; 2 great-grandsons, Jeffrey and Jeremy LeVay, of Garland, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Baker-Hazel Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St., by Rev. Olan Aughbaugh. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to your church or favorite charity.

C.D. Eberhart, 69, Dies,
School, Sucher Official
Carl D. Eberhart, 69, former vice president of the Dayton board of education and retired distributor for the Sucher Packing Co., was pronounced dead on arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital at 3:50 p.m. yesterday.
He had suffered a heart attack shortly before while working in the yard at his residence, 1980 Burroughs Dr.
Mr. Eberhart served five years on the school board, resigning as vice president in 1946.
Associated 21 years with Sucher Packing, he retired in 1944.
Mr. Eberhart was a council member and treasurer of the First Lutheran church and a former president of the Dayton Lutheran Laymen's League and the Mercator club. Active in YMCA work, he was chairman in 1955 of the organization's world service roll call here.
He was a native of Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Surviving are his wife, Wilhelmina; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Becher of Zanesville and Mrs. Anne Wilson of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and six grandchildren.
