Miss Elizabeth Eberhart
, 88, a lifetime resident of Lawrenceburg and Greendale, passed away quietly at Christ hospital 10:30 a.m. Thursday, from complications following a fracture of her hip March 13. She was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident for an operation, and was recovering from the effects of the fracture when other ailments developed.

Miss Eberhart and her brother William lived together at 555 Ludlow avenue for the past 15 years, and prior to that time made their family home on Shipping street. They were father and mother to their nephews, Alvin (Ike) Eberhart of Lawrenceburg and Carl Eberhart, a resident of Dayton, Ohio, after taking them into their home as children.

"Aunt Lizzie" as she was affectionately known to a host of friends and admirers, was born in Lawrenceburg Dec. 1, 1862 to Henry and Katherine Eberhart. She was one of ten children, eight of whom were boys. Two of the brothers are living; William of 555 Ludlow and Charles of 420 Ludlow. Miss Eberhart was a lifelong loyal member of Emmanuel Lutheran church Fourth and Main streets, Newtown. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends who sincerely mourn her passing.

Miss Eberhart will be returned to her home, 555 Ludlow Saturday morning by Fitch Bros., and services will be held there Monday, led by Rev. E. A. DeJesus, pastor of the Emmanuel church. Burial will be in Greendale cemetery.
