FARREN/SMILEY I'm seeking information about my grt. grandmother's family.
My grt.grandmother was Kesia Charlotte FARREN, known as Lottie K., b.
1872 in Daviess Co., m. Charles Calton WATSON in 1896 in Odon. Her parents
were Nancy Jane SMILEY and William FARREN, who were m. in 1860 in Daviess
Co. Some of their other children: John, James, Jefferson?, Joan?. Would
like any information about Nancy and William's parents, children, etc.

Yeager- Looking for information on the YEAGER family. William Bernard
YEAGER b April 17,1893(?) in Daviess County, Indiana. d. Feb 10,1979
In St Petersburg, Florida. Married Eldena Norris Oct 1, 1918. Williams
parents were George Thomas(?) YEAGER b Sept 9, 1858 and Julia Summers.
They married July 26,1882. Both George and Julia YEAGER are buried at
ST. Johns Cemetery. George YEAGER's father was also George YEAGER. ELdena
NORRIS'S parents were James A. NORRIS and (Julia ?) Frances SPAULDING.

HASH, & Related families. In 1773 the HASH family settled on the
New River in Virginia. "OLD JOHN HASH" b. abt. 1708, and is believed
to of died Apr. 13, 1784, in what is now Grayson Co., Va.. His son WILLIAM
HORTON HASH [b. 1740/50, and d. aft 1820 ] lived and died in Grayson
Co., Va.. It is WILLIAM,s son ANDREW HASH that we [ the Whitley County,
Ky., &
Greene Co., In.] descend from . ANDREW HASH was b. 1775/1780 in Grayson
Co., VA. There on Feb. 25, 1805 he married NANCY HART HASH b. abt 1784,
Va., and died in Greene Co., Indiana between 1850/1860. ANDREW
&
NANCY HART HASH migrated to Whitley Co., Kentucky, in the 1820's. They
were the parents of; PETER b. abt 1806, WILLIAM 1810-1890, JOHN b. abt.
1810, AHART 1815-1890, MARGARET b. abt. 1816, STEPHEN b. abt. 1820-1879,
and we believe there was a last child, CECELIA b. abt. 1825. The older
son PETER left descendants in Pulaski, Laurel, Bell, counties in S.E.
Ky., but also apparently spent time in Greene Co., In. WILLIAM 's family
mostly stayed in the CORBIN, KENTUCKY area. MARGARET apparentl was married
to a ANDERSON, and along with siblings STEPHEN , JOHN, AHART,
& CECELIA??? lived in Greene County. The move to Greene Co., followed
a seperation, and in 1845 a divorce between ANDREW & NANCY , in Whitley
Co., Ky. As far as I can tell, all the HASH families in Greene County
are descendant's of this family. I am still looking for a burial place
for NANCY HART HASH, her children MARGARET, & CECELIA??. I have located
graves for the sons, except for PETER. The family that stayed in Kentucky
are most all buried at Corinth Cemetery, Corbin, Kentucky. Again in the
early 1900's a group of my HASH families moved to Greene County. ANDREW & NANCY
HART HASH's great grand children moved to [ I believe ] the Linton area.
These were my grand mother's [ IDA HASH ALSIP 1903- 1996 ] uncles. I
have found that her uncle JOSEPH HASH apparently stayed in Greene for
a time, and had a family there. The others apparently moved onto the
Chicago area before they all but my grand mother's dad JOHN HASH
& one sister LUCY JANE HASH ASHER VANTREESE [ which stayed in Corbin,
Ky. ] settled early on in Eureka , California. Eventually JOSEPH HASH
settled there to be with his brothers & sisters. JOSEPH died in Ca.,
but I have found traces of his family in the Linton area. His grand children
should be older adults now. In my research I have found several families
in Greene County, from S.E. Kentucky [ Laurel, Whitley, Pulaski, Knox
, counties, Ky. ]. I am looking for other descendants of my HASH family.

am looking for any information on John and William McCracken of Barr
Twp, Daviess Co. Ind. They came to this area in 1830 from Ky and lived
there, their decendents are still there today I am hoping for any information
as to marriages and death's. I also know that on one of the census records
that the road they all lived on was also known as McCracken road. John
and William had 24 children all toll. spelling of the name is McCracken/Mccrackin

Looking for a possible grave site of one Charity ELSWICK born about 1763
in Virginia. She had a son Frederick ELSWICK a minister that resided
in Greene County 1840 thru 1850's. Charity is listed in the 1850 Daviess
County Census at age 87 in Madison Twp. If there is a cemetery listing
in Greene County, could someone possibly check and see if she might have
been buried there.

I am attempting to research my husband's family. Previous research revealed
John Evan Wade was a farmer in Daviess County, Indiana. He was married
to Mary Ellen aka Eleanora Brewer, who bore him nine children. They
were James, William Henry, Benedict Joseph, Thomas "Alvin', Julia Ann,
Marietta, David, John, and Winifred Elizabeth
"Bett." Zebe Wade, son of Benedict, was also raised in John Evan's home.
Any information on John Evan Wade (Evan Waid) or Eleanora Brewer will
be greatly appreciated.

Levi Elijah HANCOCK married Mary WHEELER on Jan 7, 1844. Sarah J. HANCOCK
(dau) was born in Morgan Co. The Stephen Farrar HANCOCK family moved
to Owen Co. from Virginia when Levi was very young. The marriage of Mary
WHEELER and Levi HANCOCK is recorded in Owen Co. but dau. Sarah J. gives
Morgan Co. as her birth place on her marriage certificate, registered
in Piatt Co. Illinois. Sarah married Albert N. COLLINS who was also born
in Indiana. Any information on the WHEELER, HANCOCK, COLLINS or FULTZ

I am interested in any information on Thomas L. Lansford who moved, supposedly
from Winchester, Virginia, to Washington, Indiana in 1807 and was a soldier
in the War of 1812. His son, Thomas J. Lansford Jr. was reportedly born
in Washington, Indiana in a fort on July 4, 1811. Thomas Jr. apparently
moved to Harrison County because he had a son born there, Francis Marion
Lansford born January 29, 1843. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Researching the KIEFER and PULLIAM surnames. The trail back seems to
end at Leonard A. Kiefer and Ida Pulliam (my paternal grandparents),
married on May 23, 1900 in Washington, Daviess County, Indiana. I do
know that our original ancestor Anton Kiefer came to Dubois County in
1853 from Baden. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Seeking any information on JOHN COCHRAN (b.1782-Va, died after 1850).
John's wife was named JANE, she was born 5 Feb. 1783 and died 6 Dec.
1846, and is buried in Truelove Cem. in Martin Co. Ind. The Cochran's
moved from Martin Co. to Daviess Co. in the 1840's. John is living with
has dau. LUTICA JORDAN (b.1807-Va) in the 1850 census of Daviess Co.
John also had a son JOHN W. COCHRAN, who was married (1851 in Daviess
Co.) to Nancy Jane Jordan a sister to Lutica's husband WILLIAM JORDAN.

county. His mother died in 1886, his father in 1890 in Pleasantville,
Sullivan county. I have found 2 obituaries for John which tell of 13
children for Daniel
& Alice. I also found records indicating that the Jackson family
developed the town of Hudsonville and some also were involved in the
chartering of the Hudsonville Methodist-Episcopal Church.
