Waskom,Joe
I was born and raised in Odon, Indiana. I spent two years in the United
States Army (drafted) 1968-1969, I spent one year in Vietnam assigned
to the 25th Division, Charlie company 2/27 Infantry (Wolfhounds). I
spent most of my tour as Point Man for the platoon and when needed
for the company. In my eighth month I tripped a booby trap and ended
up with shrapnel in my legs, after a short healing time I was assigned
as Sgt. in charge of the weapons squad for the rest of my tour. I presently
live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have been on the Police force
here for 28 years and for the last 15 of that have been a Motor Officer
(motorcycle).
