Eldena Yeager


MRS. YEAGER PASSES AWAY (No date given) Mrs. Eldena Yeager, 65, 1505 Grand Ave., city, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Thursday at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky,. after being seriously ill for three months. Mrs. Yeager was born June 24, 1892, in Washington, the daughter of James A. and Frances Spaulding Norris. She was a member of St. Simon's Catholic church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Yeager left Washington in 1954 to live in Florida and returned here during the summer. She was educated in the St. Simon's Academy. Surviving besides the husband are four sons, Dr. William Yeager, Jeffersonville, Robert L. Yeager, Rifle, Colo., Joseph E. Yeager, New Lennox, Ill., and Harold Yeager, Crawfordsville. There are thirteen grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Scholl, Mrs. Fred (Anna) Kirschner, Mrs. Emma Butcher, Mrs. Leona Owens, all of this city, and a brother, Delmar Norris, Vincennes. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at St. Simon's with burial in St. John's cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee and York funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
