Native Of Martin County Died Near Wheatland - Funeral Saturday At Loogootee
Loogootee, Indiana - December 15, 1943 - Noah Oliver White, 41, died at his home in Steen Township, Knox County, at 5:30 this morning following a lingering illness of pulmonary tuberculosis. He had been in a serious condition for the past four weeks.
Born in Martin County on February 28, 1892, the son of William and Rosa E. (Kellums) White, he married Nancy E. Kidwell in 1911. To them were born five children, who survive: Clarence E. White, at home; Mrs. Carrie Ellerman, at home; James W. White, of Chicago; Mrs. Robert Everett, of Washington; Mrs. James E. James, of Washington.
Other survivors include the brothers and sisters: Hiram White, of Chicago; Roy White, of Washington; Paul White, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; Mrs. Clarnece Webber, of Washington; Mrs. John E. Webber, of Vincennes; Mrs. Luvene Lundy, of Shoals. There are eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Norris Funeral Home, with burial following in Good Will Cemetery.
