Nelson White

Nelson White, 71 years old, retired farmer, died suddenly while sitting in a chair at his home south of the city on the Donaldson road at 11 o'clock this morning. He had been a sufferer from heart disease for the last seven years and during the last four weeks his illness had taken a serious turn, the end being apparently near. Mr. White was born in Harrison township Sept 21, 1851. He married Margaret Ellen Fiddler and eight children were born to them, four of whom are now deceased. The surviving children are Edward E. White of this city, Mrs. Malissa Arms, of the Portersville road, Isaac Nelson White who lives at home and Nola Gilmore of this city. Samuel E. White, of Vincennes, is a brother , and Mrs. Lydia Foraker, of this city, is a sister. A half sister, Rosetta White, lives in California. The deceased was a member of the Aikman's Creek Baptist church. Funeral arrangements are to be announced later.
