Pearley Tucker

Tucker Funeral Set For Tuesday
Mrs. Pearley Tucker, 82, 16 East Maple Street, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday at the Washington Nursing Center. She had been ill since January of this year and seriously ill for two weeks.
Mrs. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Daviess County and was owner of Williams Ice and Coal Company and the Washington Motor Express Company for many years. She was educated in Cornettsville schools and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Born January 5, 1886 in Daviess County, she was a daughter of George H. (Dode) and Mary M. (Alford) Williams. On June 6, 1906, she married Daniel Allen Tucker, who preceded her in death July 2, 1967.
Survivors include one brother, George T. Williams, Shawnee, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews, one aunt and one uncle. Two brothers Walter A Williams, Hawley Williams and one sister Mrs. Sarah Jane Kannady are deceased.
Funeral services bill be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Gill Chapel with Rev. Oakley Russell of Odon officiating and burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. The Eastern Star will hold services at the funeral home at 7:3o p.m. tonight.
