Laverne Truelove

CANNELBURG — Laverne A. Truelove, 81, Cannelburg, died at 1:40 p.m.
Wednesday at her residence. Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Daviess County, she
was the daughter of Herman and Agnes (Padgett) Carrico. A 1946 graduate
of Montgomery High School, she had previously worked at Daviess Community
Hospital, NSWC Crane and local nursing homes. She was a member of All
Saints Catholic Church, Cannelburg. Survivors include her husband, Raymond
Truelove, whom she married Nov. 27, 1946; four sons, Paul Truelove of
Loogootee, Tony Truelove of Fort Wayne, Mike Truelove of Lubbock, Texas,
and Jim Truelove of Montgomery; three daughters, Mary Luthe of Ashland
City, Tenn., Patricia Baxter of Cannelburg and Rita Truelove of Fredricksburg,
Va.; two sisters, Margaret Strange and Ginny Lents, both of Loogootee;
13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. One son, her parents, one
granddaughter, one great-grandson, four brothers and seven sisters are
deceased. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday
at All Saints Catholic Church, Cannelburg. Burial will be in St. John
Catholic Cemetery, Loogootee. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
today and from 9 a.m. until service Saturday at the church. Arrangements
are being made through Brocksmith Funeral Home, Loogootee. Preferred
memorials are to Helping Hearts Hospice.
