Doris Lucille Stoll

MONTGOMERY — Doris Lucille Stoll, 94, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at her residence. Born Aug. 10, 1916, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Charles William and Nellie (Potts) Reed. A 1935 graduate of Epsom High School, she was a member of Montgomery Christian Church. She was a saleslady at JC Penney’s and later she and Mr. Stoll owned and operated Stoll’s Grocery in Montgomery for 30 years. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Jim Stoll of Montgomery; a son and daughter-in-law, C. Jay and Sharon Stoll of Bloomington; grandchildren, Greg Stoll, Kristina (Keith) Freeman, Jasen (Lyn) Stoll and Jamie (Shad) Truelove; and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, Clarence Stoll, whom she married Nov. 22, 1939, died Jan. 20, 1996. Her parents; brothers, Robert and Floyd Reed; and sisters, Myrtle Leukhardt, Eldena Simmons and Marcella Summers, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Montgomery Christian Church, with Bro. Mike Frances officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Christian Church.
