Aged Resident Of Washington Township Dies
Mrs. Anna Sloan, 75, Owner of Large Orchards, Died Today
Mrs. Anna Sloan, aged 75 years and a resident of this community for more
than 30 years, died at 12:15 o'clock this afternoon at her home about
four miles north of Washington on the Edwardsport Road. Mrs. Sloan, widow
of the late James Sloan, was owner of the Sloan Orchards, and had been

reared there but came to Daviess County with her husband quite a number
of years ago. She is survied by six children, Andrew Sloan of Elnora,
Mrs. Maude Mowery of Sugarland, Mrs. Portia Fields of Washington, Mrs.
Grace Williams of Aberdeen, Washington, Mrs. Ethel Rausch of Vancouver,
Washington, and Mrs. Lula Lathrop at home. There are no brothers or sisters.
Friends may view the remains at the Keller Mortuary, where the body will
remain until the hour of the funeral. Definite funeral arrangements will
be announced tomorrow.
