Lester Sims

Lester C. Sims, 73, 621 S. Meridan Street, Washington, died at the Daviess County Hospital at 10:17 p.m.Tuesday.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the New Veale Creek Cemetery with Bro. Byron Black officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gill Funeral Home. Masonic memorial services will be at6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born January 4, 1919 at Raglesville to Clarence and Flossie Chestnut Sims. He married Edtia (Edna) Hudson June 10, 1939 and she survives.
He was a retired McCord Corporation employee with 35 years service as an industrial engineer. He was a 1938 graduate of Odon High School. He was Past Master of Charity Lodge No. 30 F & AM, member of the Eastern Star and charter member of the Washington Conservation Club.
Surviving are his wife and one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Eddie (Jean) Armes, Plymouth, Charles L. Sims, Petersburg, and Steven R. Sims, Washington, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Mary) Potts, Odon.
Four brothers have died.
