Edmond Shelton

Edmond Shelton, 84, 612 Southwest 5th St., died at the Daviess County Hospital at 3:04 p.m. Sunday. He had been ill for six weeks. Mr. Shelton was retired and was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. A native of Dubois county, he was born Nov 12, 1888 to Andrew and Melinda (Robling) Shelton. He was married in 1910 to Goldie Hedrick who died in 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Dimple) Stasik, Indianapolis; a son, Roscoe Shelton, Washington; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Flora Taylor, Washington. One daughter preceded him in death. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the V.L. Poindexter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Hawkins as minister and burial in Oak Grove cemetery, Reeve township. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
