Sarah Sears
AGED RESIDENT OF ODON FOUND DEAD IN HOME
        Mrs. Sarah Sears, 81, Was Pioneer Resident of City. Odon lost a pioneer
          resident, a woman who had long been active and highly regarded in this
          community, in the death of Mrs. Sarah Sears at 1o'clock this morning.
          Mrs. Sears was found dead in bed by a daughter. A heart attack is believed
          to have caused her death. Although she was born at Freeman, Ind., Mrs.
          Sears had been a resident of this community since she was two years
          old. She was 81 years and seven months old at the time of her death.
          She was born January 8, 1859, daughter of Eli and Elizabeth Walter
          Kaiser. She was maried to Benjamin F. Sears October 10, 1875. Mr. Sears
          is still living. She also leaves the following children: Mrs. Carrie
          Longcar, Mrs. Lettie Courtney and Chase Sears, all of Odon; Mrs. Lola
          Humerickhouse of Omer, Mich.; H.O. Sears of Terre Haute; S.P. Sears
          of Laporte, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grand children. Mrs. Sears
          was a member of the Odon Christian church and had been an active worker
          in church affairs. The time for the funeral has not been fixed but
          the services will be held at the Odon Christan Churc in charge of the
          Rev. Mr. Fleshman, with burial to follow in Walnut Hill cemetery, Odon.
          Hewett Poindexter & Sons will have charge of the funeral.
