MONTGOMERY, IN. - Floyd Reed, 68, died Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He had been ill three years and seriously ill one month. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Ed Lee Mortuary with the Rev. Lowell Will officiating. Friends may call at the Ed Lee Mortuary from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and before the funeral hour on Friday. He was born March 19, 1930, in Daviess County to Charles and Nellie (Potts) Reed. He married Hazel Ellen Burton on December 14, 1952, and she survives. He was retired from the Montgomery Grain and Feed. He was a soldier in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime resident of Daviess County and was educated at Montgomery High School. He was a member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, Eagles and Moose. He is survived by his wife and three children, Allen Reed, Mrs. Lee (Brenda) Spaulding and Mrs. John (Jan) Browning, all of Montgomery; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Marcella Summers, Myrtle Leukhardt, Eldena Simmons, all of Washington and Lucille Stoll, Montgomery. One brother, Robert Reed, and his parents are deceased. Memorials, if so desired, may be give to the Leukemia Society. (4 AUG 1998)
