CHAS. W. REED TAKEN BY DEATH
A heart attack was fatal to Charles William Reed, 58 years, occurring suddenly at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. Mr. Reed was stricken at his residence in Montgomery.
Charles W. Reed was born in Bogard township on Dec 28, 1890, the son of William Wesley Reed, deceased, and Sarah Jane Perkins Reed, surviving. He was educated in the Epsom Schools and was a carpenter by trade. He married Nellie Potts on Nov 22, 1913 and she survives with his mother and the following children: Mrs. Lucille Stoll, Montgomery; Mrs. Myrtle Mangin, city; Mrs. Eldena Simmons, Epsom; Mrs. Marcella Summers, Princeton and Floyd Reed, at home. A son, Robert, is deceased. There are six grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters are: A.L. Reed, Odon, RR; Mrs. Effie Poindexter, Epsom; Clara Jones, Indianapolis; Stella Reed, city.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the EUB church in Montgomery. The Rev. Walter Scott will conduct services. Burial will be in Bethany cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence in Montgomery.
