Anna Purcell

Mrs. Anna Matilda Purcell, 88, Cumback community, died at 4:15 p.m.
Wednesday at the Daviess County Hospital. She had been seriously ill
for ten days.
Daughter of Harrison and Lucinda (Risley) Boyd she was born April 24,
1890 in Daviess County. She married Homer Purcell on Feb. 22 1918 and
he died March 17, 1964.
She attended the Veale Township schools. Her memberships included the
Aikman Creek Baptist Church, the Glendale Eastern Star and was a charter
member of the Cumback homemakers club.
Surviving are a daughter Miss Eleanor Purcell, at home; a son, Robert
in Veale Township; and grandchildren, Kathy and Keith Purcell, at home.
Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Services will be at the Gill Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Joe
Wyatt and the Rev. Daniel Rodgers will be ministers . Burial will be
at Mt. Gilead cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Eastern
Star memorial services will be Friday at 7 p.m.
