ROY F. POTTS DIES THURSDAY
 
        Roy F. POTTS, 74, 623 West Walnut Street,
        a retired locomotive engineer on the B&O Railroad died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday
        at the Daviess County Hospital following an illness of several months
        and a serious illness of eight days. Mr. POTTS was born March 11, 1894,
        in Daviess County, a son of Thomas J. and Margaret Ellen (ARMES) POTTS.
        On September 12, 1917, he married Elizabeth Klein, who survives. A veteran
        of World War I, Mr. POTTS was educated in Knox County schools. He was
        a member of the Free Methodist Church, American Legion, Brotherhood of
        Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
        Besides his widow he leaves two sons, Roy Earl POTTS, Pasadena, CA; Clifford
        P. POTTS, Odon; one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Lola) WILLIAMS, Flossmoor,
        IL; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Martha ARMES of Washington.
        Two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
        Sunday at the Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Burl SHINKLE officiating
        and burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gill Chapel
        after 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
